Privacy Policy

GrindGuideAI ("we", "us", "our") is built by JJ Digital. This policy explains what data is collected when you use GrindGuideAI, how it's used, and your rights.

1. What Data We Collect

Data stored in your browser (localStorage)

The following information is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers:

• Your name and a unique anonymous visitor ID (a randomly generated identifier)
• Your onboarding quiz answers: interests, weekly hours, startup budget, experience level, location type, and goals
• Challenge progress, daily logs, earnings and expense entries, and completion history
• Streak count and app tour completion flags
• AI usage counters (number of messages used this month/day)

Data stored on our servers

• Your anonymous visitor ID and AI message usage counts (to enforce rate limits)
• If you subscribe: your visitor ID linked to your Stripe customer ID and subscription status

2. AI Coach Conversations

When you use the AI coach, your messages and a summary of your challenge profile (goal, resources, location type, recent results) are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. These conversations are processed by Anthropic in accordance with their Privacy Policy. We do not store the content of your coaching conversations on our servers.

3. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe may collect billing information in accordance with their Privacy Policy. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to verify your plan.

4. Analytics

We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies beyond what is strictly necessary for the app to function.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with:

• Anthropic — to process AI coach messages
• Stripe — to process subscription payments

6. Data Retention

Data stored in your browser persists until you clear your browser data or use the in-app "Reset" function. Server-side usage records are pruned regularly. Subscription records are retained for billing and support purposes.

7. Your Rights

You can delete all locally stored data at any time using your browser's "Clear site data" function, or the Reset option in the app's Profile tab. To request deletion of server-side records (usage logs, subscription records), email us at automationstation90420@gmail.com.

8. Children

GrindGuideAI is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date.
