Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GrindGuideAI, operated by JJ Digital ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using GrindGuideAI — including the website, web app, AI scanner, inventory tracker, listing tools, and coaching features — you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

GrindGuideAI is an AI-powered reseller workflow app that includes:

• AI Resale Scanner - photograph items to receive AI-generated product identification, resale value estimates, max buy price guidance, condition observations, and risk notes
• Inventory Tracker - track items through their lifecycle from sourced to drafted, listed, and sold, with cost, value, and profit calculations
• Reviewed Listing Drafts - generate draft titles, descriptions, item specifics, pricing suggestions, and shipping suggestions for seller review
• eBay Integration - optionally connect your eBay seller account to send reviewed listings to eBay after you approve them
• Seller Coach - app-aware guidance for sourcing, pricing, listing requirements, inventory workflow, and profit tracking
• Seller Playbooks - optional structured reseller learning flows, streaks, and workflow practice

Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

3. Account & Access

Free access. GrindGuideAI provides free access to core features using an anonymous visitor ID stored in your browser. Some AI features may require an email address. Free access includes limited scans/listing uses, limited coach messages, limited inventory capacity, and limited seller playbook access.

Authenticated accounts. You may optionally create an account with an email address and password for features that require authentication, such as eBay integration. Authenticated sessions use JWT (JSON Web Token) for secure access.

Paid subscriptions. Starter, Pro, and Pro+ tiers unlock higher monthly usage limits, higher inventory limits, additional photo analysis capacity, eBay connection, bulk listing tools, and other advanced listing tools according to the plan shown at purchase. Subscriptions are managed through Stripe. See Section 7 for payment terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use GrindGuideAI.

4. eBay Integration

GrindGuideAI offers optional integration with eBay through eBay APIs. By connecting your eBay account to GrindGuideAI, you understand and agree to the following:

• Authorization. You authorize GrindGuideAI to create listings on your eBay account on your behalf using eBay APIs. This authorization is granted when you complete the eBay OAuth connection flow within the app.
• No blind auto-publishing. Connecting eBay does not automatically publish your inventory. Listings are created as drafts or review screens inside GrindGuideAI, and a user action is required to save, schedule, or send a listing.
• User review required. All AI-generated listing content - including titles, descriptions, item specifics, pricing, shipping details, condition, package details, origin, and timing - must be reviewed and approved by you before being sent to eBay. You are solely responsible for reviewing all listing content for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with eBay's policies before publishing.
• No guarantee of accuracy. GrindGuideAI is not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated listing content. AI-suggested prices, product identifications, condition grades, and item specifics are provided as suggestions only and may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying all information before it goes live on eBay.
• eBay policies. You remain fully responsible for compliance with eBay's User Agreement, listing policies, and all applicable laws when using listings created through GrindGuideAI. We do not guarantee that AI-generated listings will comply with eBay's policies.
• Disconnection. You can disconnect your eBay account from GrindGuideAI at any time through the app's settings. Disconnecting removes the stored connection from GrindGuideAI. Listings already published to eBay will remain on eBay and must be managed directly through eBay.

5. AI-Generated Content

GrindGuideAI uses third-party AI models to generate content:

• Google Gemini - primary provider for item scanning, pricing analysis, listing generation, image analysis, tips, onboarding, and seller coach responses. Google Search grounding may be used to retrieve current market pricing data.
• Anthropic Claude - fallback provider for seller coach chat only when the primary coach provider is unavailable.
• OpenAI - optional provider only when selected by an administrator for specific model testing or override use.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or contain errors. Specifically:

• Pricing suggestions are estimates based on available market data and may not reflect the actual value of your specific item
• Product identifications may be incorrect, especially for rare, vintage, or unusual items
• Condition assessments are based on photo analysis and may not detect all defects or issues
• Listing descriptions may contain factual errors about the product
• AI coaching advice is general in nature and should not be considered financial, legal, or tax advice

GrindGuideAI does not guarantee the accuracy of any AI-generated pricing, product identification, or content. You are solely responsible for verifying all information and for any decisions you make based on AI-generated suggestions.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data or content from GrindGuideAI
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, abuse API endpoints, or overload the service through automated or excessive requests
• Use the service to facilitate the sale of counterfeit, stolen, or fraudulently described goods
• Use GrindGuideAI's tools to create intentionally misleading or deceptive listings on any platform
• Share, resell, or redistribute seller playbook content, AI-generated advice, or proprietary features
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the application
• Spoof your identity, impersonate another user, or manipulate visitor IDs to circumvent usage limits
• Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable local, provincial, national, or international laws

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these prohibitions, with or without notice.

7. Payment & Subscriptions

• Billing. All payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
• Pricing. Starter, Pro, and Pro+ pricing is listed in the app at the time of purchase.
• Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically on the same date each month unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the Profile tab in the app or by emailing support@grindguideai.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then.
• Refunds. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days at support@grindguideai.com.
• Price changes. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

8. Limitation of Liability

GrindGuideAI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JJ Digital and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service, including but not limited to:

• Lost profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Loss of data or corruption of data
• Inaccurate AI-generated pricing, product identification, or listing content
• Items purchased or sold based on AI-generated recommendations
• Listings published to eBay or other platforms through the service
• Service interruptions, errors, bugs, or downtime
• Actions taken by third-party platforms (eBay, Stripe, etc.) related to your account

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Intellectual Property

All seller playbook content, copy, design, code, and software in GrindGuideAI is owned by JJ Digital. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission. AI-generated content created for your specific listings and inventory is yours to use as you see fit.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of GrindGuideAI after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you should stop using the service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. You may stop using the app at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections 5, 8, 9, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive, will survive termination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
